
You cannot just pay off years of wrong doing and torture. If you paid a reparation back then “hey sorry I made you work with no pay, live outside with barely enough food and sold your entire family to different people around the US, but here’s $100” what do you think they would say? You build upon the past, fix the race gap, provide and show equality and eliminate national prejudice, bring equal and fair opportunity’s to everyone. Fixing the system is a lot more effective then just paying it off
But we didn’t all start off on equal playing fields when we got here laws and legislation left certain groups behind and that was financially remedied as in the case with Japanese Americans.
