fun fact about blob fish, the only reason why it looks like that is because it’s been taken out of its natural environment in the deep sea, where there’s a lot higher pressure and it helps tissue to adhere to the body. it only looks like this when brought up to the surface bc its tissue expands and the body collapses. poor guys are called “the world’s ugliest animal” and it’s just them at their worst.
