this makes the conversation very difficult to be had. my local mall is not safe to go to. neither is the down town area. and while the people you’ll see at these places do majorly belong to 2 races, its not a coincidence that they are the most systemically oppressed races in america. the solution is helping these communities not generalizing people

but what i dont really understand yet is how one helps these communities? how do you fund a neighborhood without gentrifying it or changing the things they find community in? i dont know if funding the schools is enough

Sort of a tough thing to do I agree. Although I think programs that can help increase taxpayer funds for schools and athletics and parks and whatnot paired with measures to cap housing prices (to prevent some gentrification) would be a good place to start
