probably bc they’ve been hearing that term used to describe them for over a decade with increasingly hostile rhetoric “you guys are like nazis”->”you are nazis”-> “kill all nazis”

I’d argue the right does the same except they say “your illegal” or “your gay” and that isn’t inherently wrong and yet they blame people with those “identities” as violent people. While historically nazis are in fact violent people and I’d probably check myself if someone felt the need to call me that. I don’t think it’s bad to want nazi rhetoric abolished completely
