Genuinely abolishing ice is the centrist position. We really should invest all the money from ICE and cbp into programs that help immigrants settle here, encourage immigrants to come, schools in areas with high immigrant populations, etc.

You don’t know why I am commenting on the skewedness on the American political system, when I am making a claim about where certain positions should lie on that spectrum? The point really that I am making is that ice abolition is in the real world a center postion, but in America it’s “left” or even radical left. Even that isn’t really accurate because even “let’s get rid of the death and kidnapping squads” is not something you have to “liberal” to understand

You can believe that ice needs to be abolished but to think it’s a centrist position after Trump campaigned on mass deportations and won is asinine. You’re right that ICE is a relatively new agency but most americans simply don’t know that. I don’t know why you’re inserting your take on American political parties when your original comment isnt even about that
