Ah well yeah that explains the name I guess! Seems like we should have learned that lesson given the number of species we’ve killed that way yet I still hear about similar programs being stated all the time! What makes them your favorite?

Funnily enough the Australian government didn’t approve of the shipments of the toads also their called cane toads because of how they were used historically by indigenous people of the Americas to protect sugar feeds but in Australia they were utterly useless

Ahh ok, that’s cool tho never heard of them! Have you ever read ecological imperialism by Alfred Crosby? Not to be that mf 🤓 but it goes over how a lot of these species got to where they are now from their old world origins and it seems like something you may be interested in
