There’s this thought in super left wing circles that there’s a bunch of Americans that are secretly far left or socialist but for some reason they have almost no elected candidates. Idk when these people will find out they just aren’t that popular.Left wing policies are extremely popular. Americans have been conditioned for decades to be scared away when these things are labeled as left wing. Both of these are true. But sure, keep running ever further right wing dem candidates and see how the second coming of the nazis keep winning against them, because moderate republicans do not exist.
youre literally getting multiple conversations confused and then randomly ranting at me with this hatred and criticism for some amalgamation of other people. you couldnt read a 5 word comment properly to converse with ME versus someone else that isnt here. take a breather, relax, and maybe just stay off this app if you cant handle it, which it really seems like it
Sorry purple maga chill, most people say blue maga that’s the actual insult. This like a stupid version of an already stupid insult. Bro you started this convo by giving me a random nick name then saying you couldn’t talk to me bc you gave me a random nick name. Don’t talk to me about constructive convos.
and you said i was projecting? yea! you have told me MANY TIMES you think im someone else, you think i used a term someone else used! somehow, for saying im not that person, and laughing at your insane insistence that i am, im the one who is insane. alan turing's math pales in comparison to yours
No they aren’t? The positions are extremely popular, labor protections, universal healthcare, funding schools etc. The issue is that when you label these things as “leftist” or “socialist” that scares voters who don’t identify as those things (but in practice agree with some of the ideas). This is why Democrats and Republicans alike slap “socialism” and “communism” on anything that threatens them and their rich donors’ power, because we’ve got like 90 years of anti communist indoctrination in
Universal healthcare depends on how you ask the question we can go through polling if you like, but you’re wrong on that. Labor protections isn’t a specific policy, funding schools is popular sure also kinda vague. When’s the last time a democrat has went after something by calling it socialism can you name an example?
I’m curious to see what most Americans think universal healthcare is. I can’t tell if they’re thinking of single-payer or more of an NL-like system that says “everyone needs to pay 50 EUR for basic health insurance, here’s the private companies you can buy it from, but we tell them what they have to cover and what prices they can charge”
Which is fine I’m for funding schools, universal healthcare and labor protections etc but I’m not assuming every American is secretly a socialist or on board with an ideology (that has relative to all reps in the U.S.) almost no representation. Which btw all of those things can be done under a liberal model and have been done under a liberal model.
I’m sorry you said so many annoying things. I like how I’m a neoliberal shill bc I referenced polling despite me being for universal healthcare. I’m not saying no one should push for universal I’m saying we should engage with the fact of the matter of what the obstacles are to reaching universal.
