Like 55 senators voted yes to move forward. All republicans, one independent, and two democrats and it failed. Something like that

Why does it matter if it was or wasn’t?😂 it’s a gov shutdown, they happen every now and then, not really that big of a deal

Let’s not forget that last time a shutdown was imminent (March) Dems gave Republicans votes so they could pass a continuing resolution in both the house and the senate. You know what happened not even a week later? Republicans used a bypass measure to pull funding from that CR for things they didn’t like, a process that hadn’t been used since the 90s. It’s not dems responsibility to bail yall out again. Yall went back on your word in March, you’d do it again. Get the votes yourself.
