it’s always been this way… conservatism has always fundamentally been about being allowed to rape your wife (and your daughter) since they are literally your property as the head of household.

it’s simply true. this is why republicans protect pedophiles in their party, defend child marriage, oppose sex ed, oppose mandatory reporters and so on. conservatism is about preserving hierarchy, and perhaps the most fundamental hierarchy in our society isa man ruling over his household.
