As a lib caught living in a county that voted 86% red, I can’t blame ‘em. 50 years ago, their town had a thriving downtown, a federally funded public school w/ happy and healthy students, a public hospital which provided affordable, accessible care to all, labor laws which ensured that the local gas station attendant could buy a house & feed a family. And thennn lobbying was deregulated and *poof* They’re right to be mad, they just trusted a conman to fix things. They’re dumb, but not evil.
