They don’t actually care about Trump making their lives better. The reason conservatives voted in Trump is because he would make the lives of those they hate worse. Thats it, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying

While I agree that the hypocrisy is dumb, idk if it’s as much of an accomplishment considering the increase in state aid that seems to be a considerable factor. If NYS’ deficit grows, then this kinda feels like paying off a credit card with another credit card. Tbh you could say this about federal aid given to the states too though

Alllllsooooo the thing he did with the pensions is kind of just an accounting trick. I can’t tell if I support it. It means NYC will contribute less money to the pension fund in each contribution, but for longer. Pension distributions are unaffected though. The catch is that down the road, taxpayers may be on the hook for more, because less money is invested earlier (so there’s less growth)
