It’s not just the fact that slaves were a class, or that white people were also slaves. It’s that the upper class intentionally divided white and black slaves and made them hate each other specifically to prevent uprisings. They were full blown malevolent evil, and they still are. No matter how much money and power they have, it’s never enough, and no matter how many people they have to step on they will do whatever it fucking takes to get more.
