Except it doesn’t happen anywhere near as often as male-on-female violence and if you’re a man you’re a lot more likely to get assaulted by another man than by a woman

op left out that the normalization comes mostly from men as well

Yeah i do agree with this. It definitely ties into men not being “able” to express their feelings.

yeah it’s much less common but that doesn’t change that it’s pretty acceptable. most guys don’t even know they were abused bc being hit by a woman isn’t “manly”

And you know what? That still stems from men not seeing women as equals. If men actually saw women as equals then they’d acknowledge that someone hitting them is still assault even if it’s a woman instead of brushing it off and “normalizing” it

The comments on every article about a female teacher doing something with an underage boy are actually heinous

It’s so fucking disturbing and grown men act like it’s a point of pride.

Yeah the normalization happens because of this: Men beat up women a lot > Men shouldn’t touch a woman no matter wjay > man tries defending himself from violent woman> people see, and men attack the man who was defending himself> woman on man violence gets normalized because some think they can’t defend

So basically, men allow the women on men violence to be normalized because men on women violence is significantly more common. Solution for women on men violence to stop being normalized is for men to stop getting emotional and stop beating up women. Until then, don’t expect much

Both of these can be true at the same time, they aren’t mutually exclusive. Violence against men by women is seen as acceptable or funny in some cases, and the undeniable fact that women experience more violence from men then vice versa doesn’t change that it’s wrong.
