The point of “vote blue no matter who” is essentially to keep democrats unified against trump. Even if there’s something wrong with a democratic candidate, it’s better than Trump.

the issue with this is party leaders change their tune when you’re not the right shade of blue. notice how there’s a flat out refusal by many to endorse mamdani. they preach at lefties to do this, but when the candidate is closer to the left than to their bullshit center, suddenly it’s more complicate than “party unity” or whatever.

Probably because America has been pushing rightwards for decades. Every time a Republican takes office, we lose about 10 years of whatever progress democrats tried to make
