Yes but that’s several hundred years away from being a remote possibility. Until there is a universally agreed reason to do so, it is not socially sustainable

I suppose the reason would be to remove over-redundancy in global industries, seek to eliminate war and increase cooperation between cultures. When we eliminate over-redundancy, we can focus on more technologies on a scale never before seen

I’ve always supported a United Earth Federation; something akin to what is seen in Star Trek. Border skirmishes, petty sectarian conflicts, ideological clashes are distractions from bettering our inner selves and our technology.
