It seems to me like as far as their military objectives went, the US has not and cannot stop Iran from controlling the strait, but they did cripple their military air defenses, large ships, parts of their missiles

I mean EVENTUALLY iran will run out of everything they have to control the strait, but that will take a long time

Eh, I think we'd outlast them just fine. I don't want to but it's not gonna be the end of the world.

Not really, their drone and missile production is still happening Perhaps if we kept bombing, they couldn’t keep the strait closed for a whole year. But that would be insanely disastrous if they kept it closed for a year.

Our production is faster than theirs is. We would survive a year. It's not ideal but it would be survivable. Id rather just finish the fucking job over pay them off and let them win. Once you start something like this it NEEDS to be finished. Or it will only come back to a head later.
