And on aggregate illegal immigrants commit less crime than US citizens. So instead of focusing on the immigration status of random families that haven’t been committing any real crime in the US we should focus on the people who actually commit crime, but like I said the problem that conservatives want to focus on isn’t crime. I think the mental gymnastics you use to try to justify deporting innocent families is funny because it divulges from basic empathy and even logical reasoning. If we deport them all, and no more illegal immigrants or hell, even legal immigrants exist. You will essentially be JUST as likely to be the victim of any crime, especially violent. Because they don’t represent a major percentage of perpetrators that commit crime, especially violent. So the issue of crime wasn’t fixed or helped at all.

Why are you talking about legal immigrants? No one said anything about them. They’re fine. And for me, illegal criminals is less about protecting people from violent crime and more about wasting taxpayer dollars on trials for someone who shouldn’t have even been here

Ok forgetting about removing legal immigrants adds to my point even more. If you deport every single illegal immigrant in this country the crime rate will not drop in any meaningful way because the biggest perpetrators of crime are still going to be here committing crime.

Right my whole point is that lowering the crime rate was never the goal of conservatives. But I disagree with your moving of the goalpost because I don’t think it’s about taxes either. It’s just another example of a caste trying to exert force on a group of people lower than them in some vein effort to feel powerful when billionaires are doing the same shit to you and I, and/ or there are xenophobic intentions also guiding people.
