
In some senses yes, others no. It encapsulates what people with money think is going to happen pretty well, more accurately than pollsters I’d say. But it’s not gonna capture what the average person thinks well. In cases where it’s a statistically higher/lower turnout than expected or one side is more motivated to come out and vote it’ll be wrong. Unfortunately, I imagine there’s more conservatives shy about who they’re going to vote for than there are Dems/independents right now.
In some places by a lot, in some places they’re performing worse. It’s hard to tell in primaries they’re more a measure of voter engagement bc the ballots are limited to your party affiliation. Come the general election I think there’s a bigger portion of maga too embarrassed to admit they’re gonna still vote for ts
