wealthy people spend money at places owned by wealthy people. large sums of money shift from one big bank account to another. gdp up. "consumer spending up" except the norm would be to have the lower classes, not the top people, to be doing the spending. since... yknow, they make up the vast majority of the people? more people spending less means life sucks and they cant spend. exactly the point of zohrans campaign

reading that wsj article is honestly really interesting. people REALLY WANT to be in nyc. money is flowing in, hotels are jammed (specifically luxury hotels), things *look* great. but for the people actually in the city? living there, as a normal person? its not great.
