existing in a fat body is to be constantly dehumanized. we are viewed as a representative of the “obesity” epidemic, used as a warning, my body the consequence of a “lack of self control”. or we are praised only for my body it is in terms of a fetish. never seen as a full person

If you want to stop being “dehumanized”, go lose weight lol. Sitting their loathing about it is detrimental to mental health which is arguably worse than having poor physical health.

have you ever thought that maybe familial, economic, physical, and mental health issues contribute to be plus size? growing up in a plus size family, my parents didn’t cook the healthiest meals. growing up plus size makes it harder to lose weight as an adult due to physiological changes. we were also impoverished, my mom lived on section 8 and EBT - a healthy diet was the least of her worries, as long as we were fed. also, i have hypothyroidism as a side effect from another medication i take
