this image sums up every time i try to talk to my parents abt my worries for the future. they take for granted that the “good guys” will always win in the end because it had happened that way in the past for them.

i tell them to prove to me that it will be okay again and they can’t. but they still cling on to that toxic positivity because they’re all set in life and get to die in 10 years or so.
