They reserve the right to opinions, but when their party begins acting on them, inflicting grief and committing human rights violations in the name of security, they become larger than assholes, they become the evil America swore to destroy. We preach Liberty and Justice for all, not for the wealthy few.

And I agree with nothing more than that. My voter registration says republican basically for the sole reason that I’m blue collar, a car guy and I believe in the 2nd amendment. Most of my other political beliefs one could argue are democratic. I don’t like to be modeled along side either party because the extreme ends of either side are fucking horrible. The extreme democrats are borderline Communists and the extreme republicans are borderline Fascists. What I want is for both sides to stop…

Okay okay I see, and I agree. I’m a car guy as well, and I own a few firearms of my own. I align myself more as a constitutional socialist, and firmly believe the government’s responsibility is to its citizens to ensure they are given the tools and resources needed to survive. We should allow the market to operate with guardrails to prevent monopolies from dominating, and money from manipulating politics. But those are too optimistic it feels like sometimes.
