The Hungarian people have been fascist collaborators since the early 1900s. Their former Regent, Miklos Horthy, was a Nazi collaborator during WWII.

Yes, they were a satellite state during the Cold War era in Europe before the Iron Curtain fell. They were known as the Hungarian People’s Republic from the late 40s until around 1990 or so. If you consider 36 years ago to be “not long ago”, then yeah. I do realize that.
