China invented commercialization in 1600BC they have always been the BEST capitalists in the world. Chinese new year is about celebrating luck and material prosperity in life. They are more pragmatic than us fighting over conceptual stuff.

Why would you need to protest if you have healthcare, good education, cheap housing, all your needs are met. Protesting the government for “freedom” is just selfish

China has heavy air pollution from years of coal power, unsafe water supplies that’s contaminated to fuck, mass illegal dumping of waste and industrial materials, and immense political and corporate corruption. Where exactly are you getting safer from?
