A lot of those things require the labor and bodies of other people so they can’t be rights. Forcing people to use their bodies to give you stuff is a violation of personal autonomy. All trades and exchanges should be consentual. I guess the government could compensate people that would work but philosophically those things have no ground to be defined as rights.

just because you’re guaranteed employment doesn’t mean you’re forced to work

That is Correct! But people shouldn’t be forced to hire/pay you if they don’t want to. Also with housing, medical and education someone else should voluntarily give you those services not be forced by the government. Because those services require others peoples labor. You basically can’t force people to work.

well with free education and universal healthcare, we would have a lot more medical students, nurses, and doctors. we would also have more teachers and more trade workers. those needs could be met if there were less financial barriers to education. and the government can create jobs, it’s not just up to the private sector. but if there’s more economic activity, which would happen if more people were employed and healthcare wasn’t so profit based, people would naturally want to capitalize on that

I kinda agree. The issue is the government forces people to give money at gunpoint so using tax dollars is not really consensual at all. I think we should reduce barriers to education by removing federal funding. That way the schools that charge too much would go bankrupt and prices would drop. I also agree that lower education costs would create more jobs and reduce health care costs!

remove federal funding? i mean if you want all our worthwhile research to stop and have a massive brain drain sure, but most university research is conducted using federal funding, and a lot of industries use that research. public school also requires federal funding, and getting rid of that is not gonna keep education free for k-12
