It’s our first time doing this too. We are learning and adapting and just driven by survival no more than any other creature—except for maybe horseshoe crabs or jellyfish. We just express it so violently and destructively 😭 the things that made war made ways to express love with the same hands😭

Politics is literally the religion of yesterday, back then religions made rules and groups, now it’s politics, the same disagreements and chaos, the same laws, the same justice, same peace if done right

Infact some religions that haven’t changed are more stable than a constitution, and if you think about it people use the constitution to justify and do like they did with the Bible. It’s worshipped the same way, the bill of rights, the founding fathers are basically angels atp

We’re confused and scared, and we use these things to curb them all the while they’re the things that perpetuate our fears still. Mostly bc of human nature making small groups of individuals thing their own drive for survival is more than everyone else, and the pleasure we get from having power over the things we once feared. Bad priests to bad politicians, they’re also thinking they’re doing this for the better. Which is wild, or bc they get something that is worth the harm done to others(sa)

they think is worth the harm to other*^ they get something that they want more than anything else, and will do it at any cost, bc the brains weird ass evolution and its biochemistry which produces chemicals that they reason with strangely. And it’s not like if we all were super intelligent that those problems wouldn’t exist, or that we’ll ever get rid of these effects, or if it’s even ethical to make everyone think and act the same. It’s a strange and complex conundrum.

its not blame. It’s radical acceptance that we all have a role to play in these things going wrong. I think the people who use those things to cause harm to others need to be harshly criticized and dissected. And part of that is that we realize the harm they’ve caused how they were able to do bc of these systems we created when we probably needed them. But do we need them at this point? At the cost we’ve been paying? I said the og point more from a oversimplification than a unthoughtful post

I would not have blamed my mom if she'd 💀 me when I was a baby tbh. The medical negligence was insane, she was in a coma for days after the emergency C-Section, she then spiraled into severe postpartum depression which easily could've worsened into postpartum psychosis. Bc she was neglected and ignored w a screaming infant while recovering from giving birth, seriously almost dying, major surgery, AND postpartum depression. I ain't dealing with allat personally so I will not be having kids.
