There are 11 million illegal immigrants in this country (about as many people as Sweden's entire population) currently being used by corporations to undercut wages. Until leftists acknowledge that massive amounts of illegal immigration hurt the working class, they will continue to lose their vote.

Before the mid 1800s or so (some variation state-to-state) all of them because there was no legal route. That’s when states started screening and there was no federal screening before 1892. The idea of immigration being “legal” or “illegal” is really new.
