Part of me hopes that the next president is a Democrat so us Republicans can protest every couple of weeks and watch liberals heads explode when they realize we have the same protest rights that they do

Jan 6. I’ll just leave this right here

Did anyone ever say you didn’t? I believe in the right to protest and right to free speech, but there is a difference between that and hate speech and violent protests. I’ve yet to hear of a Republican protest where at the very least hate speech wasn’t involved in some way.

Believe it or not, hate speech is protected. And many times when it’s used, it’s because you threatened us first

Whhhaaatttt? The first part I believe, this place fucking sucks, but the second part not so much. Do the women going into Planned Parenthood to have an IUD inserted scream in the face of the old fucks who sit in their lawn chairs all day or do said old fucks just start screaming how she’s a baby killer? Honestly, that’s the only form of Republican protesting I know of besides Jan 6. Yall suck at organizing

I can’t speak for those people because I’m actually pro choice. But don’t act like one of your lunatics didn’t kill Charlie Kirk a few months ago. I didn’t like the guy, but he was the perfect example of organizing and peaceful protest and he got a bullet in the neck for it When was the last time republicans committed violence against a democratic protest? We leave you guys alone, but you can’t do the same for us

You should worry more about your f**king neighbors then illegal immigrants

Why should I worry about my neighbors? One couple is a lawyer and yoga instructor and the other I don’t know what they do bo they have Russian accents and a cute kid

The Russian couple even walks with the Ukrainian family that lives across the street. Bringing world peace one toddler at a time 😌

The political identity of the shooter has never been confirmed. And would you call his rhetoric peaceful? He talked hate and encouraged it. His version of protesting was “debating” with college students but ever conceding and saying “maybe their right”. He didn’t protest, he rallied. I can’t think of any Republicans getting violently involved with Democrat protests, but the jokes about the Pelosi attack and the Michigan lawmaker are hardly peaceful.

Well jeez that would be pretty out of character for a 58 year old yoga instructor. Or a 4 year old toddler

Like statistically speaking Americans kill more Americans, than immigrants. Thats per capita.

He had a trans partner and rebuked his conservative family. It doesn’t take Einstein to determine his affiliation. And yeah, Charlie said many things I don’t agree with. But he was 100% peaceful. When you start classifying words as violence, that makes people think they have the right to respond with actual violence

From what I understand, most of those murders have been men on women. Maybe we should start there, by protecting ALL women against ALL hateful men. And does the horrid actions of a few constitute the killings and kidnapping of others in the group?

His words were hateful and insisted violence. I wouldn’t be surprised if his followers committed violence based on his teachings. And violence on violence does not work, that we can agree on. But words can be violent (Trump’s speech before Jan 6th comes to mind).

Sorry but you’re never gonna convince me that words are as bad as physical violence. We just have a fundamental disagreement there. Hurtful? Yes. Offensive? Sure. Violent? Nope

But nothing wrong with Dems though, right? They’re just peachy and everything they do is justifiable and excused?

Definitely not. The thing tho is I have friends on both sides some far left and right and some moderate and my democratic friends are easier to talk to about politics. Both sides have done their fair share of wrong. But maga and trump take it to the next level and I don’t know how a single sole can support that peice of shit.

See I don’t support Trump. I just happen to have slightly more conservative leaning beliefs and a strong dislike for most democratic views and politicians. But I do not support Trump. But people don’t let me say that because they don’t let me talk for more than 5 seconds. According to most people, expressing a single conservative aligned belief makes you a right wing Nazi

There are definitely republicans that don’t support trump. As long as you can admit when your party does wrong then that’s a very healthy view. Now with the Epstein files the thing is people are choosing to not see evidence that is there. Trump is in the Epstein files and it’s disgusting but so in Clinton and that’s Also disgusting, so as long as you can admit when things like this come out that everyone in the situation is disgusting and needs to be held accountable even your own party.

Unfortunately, I do agree that Trump is in there 😞 I also feel that we are extremely unlikely to ever see the real, unredacted version of these files. And if we do, it will be long after everyone in them is dead Thirdly, I feel that any democrat who tells themself that their favorite politician is not a participant, or at the very least had knowledge, is lying to themselves or incredibly naive

And there’s a reason we won’t see them, because trump is illegally withholding them from us, he was required to release them all. On your third point, I’m not entirely sure because there’s definitely some candidates from every side that didn’t know about it. I do believe majority knew about it tho. I’m not sure who did and who didn’t. I believe any reasonable person on any side should be able to admit their side and people are in the files and if not then there’s no arguing with them.

See I think this is where you and I differ. I acknowledge that Trump is illegally withholding them. That’s why I’ve stopped supporting him. I just also believe that if a democrat were in office right now, they’d very likely be withholding them too

Yea I’m not really sure I think it could go either way and I think it could go either way if another republican was in office. I just know during bidens term him and Harris believed separation from DOJ. I think if trump wasn’t in office doesn’t matter what party I think it could be 50/50 on weather they would be all released or not. I just truly believe trump is a bad apple and making people really go against the Republican Party.

I’m with you. Honestly, I think this app is bad for my mental health. Like I said I try to explain to people that I don’t like Trump, but they’ve usually already decided I’m a fascist bootlicker and at that point, there’s no changing their minds

I think it’s really hard to explain to people that you can be Republican without supporting trump. People just really already have the sterotype if your republican or on the right side then you support trump. There’s rarely any sane people on this app. If you wanna debate with a sane person I’m always done for a good mature debate, helps me learn more too.
