Yes. Because he didn’t steal. Water was placed right back into the fridge. Carrying a gun isn’t a death sentence no matter your age. Call the cops and let them handle it. Don’t chase him down the street and shoot him in the back while he’s fleeing from you

He put em into his backpack first which in a lot of places is illegal by itself under shoplifting laws

Right. But he put them back. Thus the owners property was no longer at risk. Meaning deadly force shouldn’t have even crossed his mind. But whatever. Jury of his peers said not guilty.

But yes. Why a child is running around alone with a weapon and stealing from gas stations is a major issue. There’s nowhere for kids and teens to go to be kids so this is what they turn to. It’s depressing as shit and that sheriff needs to start reinvesting into his community instead of criminalizing kids existing in public
