It’s actually wild that people have convinced themselves that Jesus would’ve been ok with capitalism. His supposed ideology is pretty clearly most aligned with socialism or communism

Essentially every church today has become exactly the type of institution that Jesus fighting was against, it’s actually absurd to me that none of them can see the hypocrisy if they’ve supposedly read his words

Are we talking historical or scriptural? Historical Jesus wouldn't comprehend the economic system, like anyone from that era would, and then he'd find out about how money is printed and call us suckers.

Mark 10:21-25: "And Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me." "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

The first part is a direct instruction to a wealthy young ruler on how to follow His way, and the second a declaration to all the disciples

I mean we’d be suckers regardless but I’m more talking about Jesus in the scriptural sense, the ideas he supposedly stood for

Under socialist governments people take care of each other, they are both producers and benefactors. Nobody is expecting handouts from anyone

Exactly it literally just means the workers own the businesses collectively and run them democratically instead of one random guy getting massively disproportionate returns and the option to delete everyone’s jobs on a whim. Nothing beyond that is a strict requirement of the system
