So in civil cases the jury is selected by both the prosecution and the defense. No judge actually selects the jurors at all. Both the prosecution team and the defense have equal say in who gets added into the jury, and they can dismiss as many jurors as they’d like in order to get a fair trial.
In fact, according to CBS News, Juror number 77 was attempted to be dismissed, as is the right of the prosecution, because he “listened to right-wing YouTubers”. This, in many ways, would give him a level of Bias! And he was unsuccessfully dismissed. He voted against Trump. All of them did.
Well of course it’s not bullshit! Civil cases are by far more common than criminal cases, and a lot of things need to happen in order for a case to be criminal. Are you saying the majority of cases in the United States are bullshit as well, then? Doesn’t sound like you’re very “tough on crime” to me.
