btw the ad is sweeney talking about what “genes” is defined as: hair color and eye color and personality. She then proceeds to say she has great “jeans” and her jeans are blue. The ad made sure to note the blond hair and blue eyes and her great “jeans”
Guys i’m out of the loop but i don’t remember anyone ever saying good genes had anything to do with being a nazi. I’ve heard that shit so many times. If you are hot, intelligent, athletic, whatever you have good genes. She is hot, it’s word play. i’m lost

“From parent to offspring” “Genes determine traits like personality” That wording wasn’t chosen unintentionally, there’s hundreds of people commercials go through before they get on the air. The rhetoric that people immediately clocked was definitely in their brains, there’s no way the entire marketing team missed it. So yeah, I don’t believe it was an unfortunate accident that people took it this way

why mention hair and eye color. “some people have good jeans” *pauses* “hey eyes down here buddy” *shows jeans* done perfect ad that references her boobs and plays on the “eyes up here” but flipping it to look at here jeans instead of her eyes. comedic ad instead of “look at this blond hair blue eyed women and her great jeans”

I think you can mention someone’s eye/hair color when talking about genes without it being “bad” , they had focused way more on her boobs and figure for being “good genes”

I mean it the eye and hair mentioning could also be an intentional avoidance of the *bigger* idea to aid in the general innuendo of the ad.
