I have no problem with ai. The power draw will go down pretty soon, the computing requirements will balance out, people will probably be running most of their shit at home. What I DO have a problem with is companies owning ai. Nobody should own it.

how is AI cleaner… describe to me how AI data centers aren’t polluting the land and water and destroying livelihoods of communities living nearby, contaminating their tap water with sediment and blasting their homes with unbearably bright lights.

A lot of AI research is based on making everything more efficient and transporting most models onto consumer devices which can be charged on a cleaner grid. Also, new forms of nuclear energy are being created that are OBJECTIVELY SAFER THAN what “environmental scientists” bitch about. Do your own research instead of the fake normalized journalism

Doing your own research is now seen as some type of platform for disinformation as opposed to being spoon fed all your opinions by MSM. LOL. LMAO even.

Just means you have nothing to say and nothing to back it up.

he says, as he is speaking to a biology graduate with extensive sampling, processing, and analysis of freshwater under both limnology and phycology… i don’t think you understand the amount of damage this will do and IS doing to the environment currently in order for us to EVENTUALLY get to whatever you’re talking about. You’re totally oblivious to the environmental cost of getting from Point A to Point B in this situation. The net result will be horrific irreversible environmental impacts.

If you claim something and then say, “well you should know this yourself from sources I won’t bother to mention for some reason”, yea I’m gonna assume it’s disinformation bro.
