You referring to the Herero and Nama genocide from a century ago? I was a bit confused because Namibia has been quite stable lately so I was like “wait did I miss something”

Are you confusing Namibia with Nigeria?

Namibia is in Southern Africa, has one of the most stable democracies on the continent, hasn’t had major military incidents in 25 years, and recently legalized homosexuality. Nigeria is in west Africa and is where the news stuff has been coming out of, including claims of genocide (which I think is an misrepresentation of the regional conflicts there). Are you saying Namibia when you mean to say Nigeria?

I mean Namibia also what is going on in Nigeria isn’t a genocide but a complex conflict over resources that has seen both Christians and Muslim lives on the chopping block

So what genocide are you referring to in Namibia???? There was a genocide perpetrated by the germans 100 years ago and apartheid under South Africa but there’s no modern genocide so what were you referring to.

The echos of that genocide still there with who owns the lands in Namibia and who is suffering it doesn’t help that Germany and Germans still living in Namibia still downplay it

Okay so you’re referring to the legacy of colonialism, apartheid, and the historical genocide which leaves lasting inequality in Namibia today. Thanks for specifying that, I was just confused as to what you were referring to.
