Depending on if the school was primarily white or black it’s possible. Also depends on how old your grandma is. Doesn’t excuse her being racist.

the school was primarily black. my grandma is currently 70 so she was bullied in like the late 60s right after segregation ended. i also know her father was deeply racist as well, which i witnessed before he passed (he wouldn’t even let the black hospice nurse come near him and called him some unsavory things)
