Because the right is obsessed with pushing this idea that white people are being genocided in South Africa. They want to create a narrative that white people are actually the oppressed ones and that dismantling white supremacy will lead to white genocide. It’s kind of like how slave owners used the genocidal massacre of French ppl in St. Domingue to say abolition was an existential threat to white people. Except that massacre actually happened, and this “genocide” isn’t.
