That’s NYC though like that’s normal, average rent in Manhattan is close to 4500, outer boroughs like Queens, BK, and the BX are in the 3000-3500 range. Areas you’d actually want to live in which are safe and don’t take 1.5 hours across the busses and trains to get to work are going to be more than that average though. 3200 to share a nice apartment in a nice area between 1-3 people that would normally cost 6400-13000 a month is what a lot of people do
