Actually, term limits subvert people’s will. If it was the people’s will to democratically vote Trump to a third term, this would technically help the people’s will be put into place

you could make the argument that its the people will to limit term limits since they went through all the effort to actually make a constitutional amendment on it...

Yeah I know- social contract and implied consent, etc…. And maybe that’s what the paper is about overturning the 22nd amendment or more so making a new amendment

The people could also will to change that amendment. But we won’t. Also, we don’t want a government that is a complete direct democracy; people are stupid. That’s why we have checks on power; term limits are one such check
