I’m doing some admittedly surface level research and tbh I just don’t see this lawsuit being successful. Hasan said that if people keep insisting on conflating Judaism with the controversial actions of Israel, some crazy person is going to take that anger out on innocent Jews. It seems to just be an argument against conflating Jews with Zionism I don’t even like the guy that much but I also don’t like disingenuous framing either. Not saying you are, just the people suing him

The thing at the center of the filing is a quote from Hasan saying to his viewers “eventually someone’s going to come around and take action, not against the State of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews” Which ig isn’t his own self calling for it, but idk the Israel lobby has tons of influence on the system

Yeah I think out of context that looks really bad, but also it’s exactly that. Out of context. I bet basically any conversation any living person has ever had could have something taken out of context that would make them look bad

Exactly, I mean personally I hope it’s successful just because I don’t like the guy. But idk like most things I thing it’ll be a nothing burger
