i went to a megachurch most of my childhood. in 2016 the lead pastor said that not voting for trump was condemning urself to hell. in 2020 he said covid vaccines were the mark of the beast. in 2021 he died from covid a wk before christmas. they still brought in live camels and pyrotechnics for christmas eve service though!

Yeah, avoid that. Go to a theologically sound church.

oh im agnostic now. the chirch somehow went bankrupt despite making tens of thousands wkly and owning the building (no rent)🤔 never went back. pastor was an asshole. benched me from playing bc i had a midi skirt and itd “distract the congregation” i was 16. so yeah i dont involve myself. unless i go broke. then i’ll be saved and open a gofundme to build a church hehe

This is nowhere near your story but I went to a mega church for a year or two as a kid and I can say that all I remember is liking the indoor playset, I learned so much

i say this with two extremely devout catholic parents who do love when people put inflatable trumps up on their lawn for CHRISTMAS
