What I’m not fine with is “WHO CPULD HAVE PREDICTED THIS” attitude like all Muslims are inherently homophobic because they’re Muslim. It’s like acting like all Christian’s are inherently homophobic, same sort of generalization that just empowers more of that behavior to persist because it’s painted as the overwhelming status quo.

not to mention - we aren’t pro-social programs because immigrants are political allies. lots of immigrant populations are traditionally conservative we’re pro- social programs because we believe people deserve to have enough to live regardless of whether they agree with us
