I think I’d ultimately agree with this guy, besides a few overgeneralizations he made in his argument. God, talking to people and “leftists” who just sit on their ass and whine about politics instead of calling their local representatives infuriates me. I root myself and my identity in pragmatic thinking, and it annoys the fuck out of me when people are too idealistic and praying for a utopia instead of placing the bricks to make true liberty for all not a pipe dream.

That last sentence could be a post on its own. Too many people who claim to be processive and “working” towards achieving those ideals are the same people who spit on you for actually making steps. They HATE taking steps in the correct direction, they expect a full leap directly into the end goal or you’ve failed. It’s one of the biggest issues with the bulk of progressive movements being centered online. (Leftists against nuclear, for example)

Easily. I did screw up and I should’ve added more context for the last sentence, but agreed. The Yik Yak word limit would murder me if I were to try to describe everything I meant with the last sentence
