Well yes, obviously that’s the point. Morals are established and everyone acts accordingly (preferably) The law exists for when people deviate from them. It is the lowest possible bar that used force to ensure order when people’s reasons fails. That’s why the law “legislates morality” "But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature?"
I had emotional intelligence at the age of 3 understanding that it’s painful to get hurt by someone, so I never wanted to make anyone feel badly like how I felt when hurt. Never in my life have I ever wanted to commit violent crime, and I want to give back to other people less fortunate because I like seeing other people happy and well cared for. The Bible didn’t teach me that. I was born like this and I have enough intelligence to see what injustice does in the world.
Again, common sense! You don’t need the Bible to understand basic human psychology and why it’s an unfair power dynamic for a kid to be married to an adult. Marriage existed long before Christianity existed. And don’t forget that it’s modern day CHRISTIANS in the US who are trying to lower the age of consent to make child marriage legal again. And they’re using their bibles to justify it!😍👍
Christians were not the first to propose marriage should be for adults. Marxism played a large part in changing the view around marriage as a whole and Karl Marx was an atheist. The idea of 18+ marriages were largely made popular by human rights activists and groups like CEDAW, who fight for girls and women’s rights and I’m sure you haven’t heard them. Please do your own due diligence so you actually know what you’re talking about. 😭
What people like you will never admit or understand is that the Bible or Christianity were not the FIRST to propose any of these ideas because Christianity and the stories of the Bible were directly stolen from other stories and religions and it’s not hard knowledge to find. So no, our morals do not come from religion.
