Now this would make sense logically if these civilians were being targeted specifically, which, of course, would be worse

I mean civilian AREAS are being targeted. Some specific categories of civilians (journalists, academics, medical workers, civilian officials, etc.) are being singled out too

That being said Israel already knows where these areas are cause they have extensive aerial imagery and also issue regular evacuation orders
