Liberal radicalism is always about rebellion against society or elites. Why is republican radicalism usually about people’s identities? (don’t comment some dumb shit like “cause they suck” that literally helps noone)

Bc far-right ideology generally revolves around strict societal hierarchies and boxes they need to force everyone to conform to (strict gender roles, strict patriarchy dynamics, strict racial hierarchies, etc) They want everyone to play their assigned roles; and a lot of it emanates from a mix of religious psychosis and white supremacy

i think they believe that unwritten social rules protect society but really it just makes the trouble behind closed doors. like yes there was less robbery and crazy people way back when, but households were more likely to be abusive for women and children, racism was rampant, gay people were killing themselves, and anyone with any mental health or drug disorder was just shoved into psych wards i think people forget the world wasn’t actually calmer, appearances just mattered more

take a rich family for example, they usually give themselves unwritten traditional social rules… and to the public eye they may look perfect…. but they often have all kinds of private issues tldr: the world isn’t getting worse, its getting more obvious
