I mean looking at WW2, the USSR killed more Nazis than anyone else. Not all antifa are far-left, but all far-left are antifa

moderatemonkey

Anti-Fascist ≠ far left.

Stalin signed a non-aggression pact with Hitler so he could have half of Poland, the only reason they ever fought the Nazis was bc Germany didn’t have enough oil and North Africa was not going well, another little anecdote was when the red army was graping their way across Eastern Europe, they stopped right outside of Warsaw after the Polish Resistance retook the city to give the Nazis an opportunity to regroup and be reinforced so that there would be no resistance to their rule after the war

Shhhhh don’t talk about how every other European power signed a non aggression pact with the nazis first

Stalin signed the pact bc he knew it was only a matter of time before Hitler attacked the USSR so he was buying time to prepare and build up military forces, in addition to regaining their territories, and gain new territories.

Yes exactly, he signed the pact because of his own expansionist ambitions, Stalin wanted to take all of Eastern Europe and he signed on with Hitler to accomplish that, the only reason they ever actually fought was because Hitler needed Stalin’s resources, they not actually agreed beforehand to coordinate their invasion of Poland, they weren’t friendly but they were certainly cooperative

Yea but no other European collaborated with the Nazis to advance their own expansionist project now did they?

Incredible how fast the goalposts shift from “all far-left are Antifa” to “others did it too.”

Sorry, I did leave out some context. That of course being that Stalin tried to make a pact against the nazis, which the powers in question refused and made pacts with the nazis instead.

But you’re not even correct. France didn’t sign a non-aggression pact with the Nazis. Neither did Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, etc. Only Poland, Denmark, and the Baltic states did, and those were limited deals.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was far worse. It secretly divided Europe into spheres of influence for Nazi and Soviet annexation. A week later, they collaborated with the Nazi’s in the invasion of Poland, with the Red Army invading 2 weeks after the Nazis. Until 1941, the Soviets kept fueling the Nazi war machine with raw materials.

Is that why he supplied the german military? Or why the USSR also invaded poland? Or why he collaborated with Hitler on a plan to annex sovereign nations?
