The teamsters spokesperson apparently declined to comment for NYT. Not sure if that’s because they’re preparing to sue or negotiate though and don’t want to jump ahead. They’re getting killed between the tariffs (especially the elimination of the de minimis exemption) and Amazon expanding their own delivery service

Amazon is the one that really needs to be unionized. I worked at a warehouse and it sucked It wasn’t as bad working conditions as you would think but.. yeah. Only so good you can do with 10 hours 2:40am - 1:10pm. I averaged like 28k steps a day though

Yeah I know someone who worked at FedEx for a bit and they said it was brutal. I can’t imagine Amazon 😭 it’s a miracle I can order stuff at 10pm and it ends up on my doorstep in the morning

Keep in mind as well they also closed a lot of locations (I think 400+) throughout the year as well. So it goes past trimming middle management when they’re shuttering locations.

I did FedEx too, it wasn’t as bad. You got to know your coworkers better too. Work with the same people in 1 section. I had my like 4 drivers who I was bros with
