Got to be carful talking magazines with hunting rifles, typically a 30-06 bolt action rifle will allow for 3-5 rounds depending on if the magazine is internal or external, if it is external, you very rarely will ever see one with over 5 rounds per magazine.

So it is still in the realm of possibilities, especially since ammo recovered from the gun had pro trans writing on it (fact) that the shooter was killing Kirk because he disagreed with Kirk opinion

you understand that it was one guy who killed charlie kirk right. and there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who hate him, thousands who have probably joked/said they want to kill him, yet noone did until now. and the guy that did it doesnt belong to any of the groups charlie likes to “attack” in debates. so im confused how you think this is an attack on differing opinions?

Again, you’re talking about mentally ill people committing mass murder, not executing someone who is actively pursuing free speech and then unionization of differing opinions. Also, I don’t see anyone making fun of school shooting victims, but I do see a lot of people making fun of Charlie Kirk.

Also, where he was shot on the body, his throat, is important. That specific shot is called the “shut tf up shot.” it is often used against political opponents or high ranking officials and opposing militaries, things like that to lower morale and silence whatever message the target is representing.

I hunt with a 30-06 Mauser; which is the gun that was recovered. They drop very bad. Especially with 150-175 grain rounds. You also need to account for the fact the shooter could have been untrained in bullet drop and simply aimed for the head and hit low.

No clue. I’m assuming he used steel core rounds, which is what most hunting vendors would recommend to someone. They come in 125 all the way up to 200 grain that I’ve seen.

So he did hit him on the neck on purpose or? Either way if you’re talking about accounting for wind, and all those other factors, we’re talking about a skilled shooter here. Obviously planned out.

Either way, that’s over 300 yards. I feel like it takes a pretty confident shooter to even wanna make that shot.

this is roughly what the shooter saw, but also imagine how much smaller a human head and neck is than this large practice target, and also he had the leafy top of a tree obstructing his view as well.

I dunno, I’ll consider myself skilled as I’m a life long hunter. I will consider that an easy shot given a 10 times scope, a prone position with a stable gun rest. And a stable target.

Think about the escape tho. There was even a false suspect at the scene that was arrested to give the shooter time to get out of the area. Very suspicious.

i promise you with 100% certainty you could not make this shot with one bullet. my dad was in the fbi for 37 years and the first thing he said after it all came out was that this would be really insane if it was a civilian because the difficult trajectory, the distance, and the fact only one bullet was shot make this a one in a million type situation

I’ll test it tmr but I’m sure I could. 140 yards was the linear distance from the building; I’ll give 150 to account for elevation change. My rifle stays sighted at 150 yards. Once again the only real factor leaning towards professional in my opinion is making the shot under pressure.
