I have a personal question, feel free to not answer. Are Muslims allowed to revere historical figures that aren’t prophets if they do heroic or cool or interesting things? Khalid ibn al-Walid? Salah ad-Din? Benjamin Rush?

I mean yeah sure, reverence within respectable non-weird sharia-compliant bounds ofc. I just don’t think about them super often or as super great guides for how to live life the way I do about the prophets peace be upon them. That’s what a hero is to me. My dad is more personal love based though. The reason I have this as my username is literally just to point more ppl towards a cool founding father they otherwise prob would not have known about, which is fun and edifying (or so I hope)
