If this is a real image and if it’s of an IDF soldier, it reflects terribly on that soldier. It is pretty manipulative to claim that it would reflect on the whole army though, given that the actual IDF’s statement was that they’ll investigate to punish the individual if it’s real, and regardless this goes directly against their values

IDF has a discipline problem. Most conscript based militaries do. The IDF needs to deal with these assholes more strictly. Doesn’t detract from the core legitimacy of the mission in that region, or their broader war against radical genocidal, jihadist militias and the oppressive, radical Islamist nation footing the bill and calling may of the shots.

The point OP is making is that so many American Christians see supporting Israel as a major political priority and this is what they support instead

This is exactly it. The most evangelical, fundamentalist, “America is a Christian nation” people hold support for Israel as one of, if not the most important political issues right now, while the Israelis think they’re subhumans and only humor them for more missiles.

That doesn’t change the fact that this is a fucked up war crime. I don’t think Thomas Paine would be happy to see this happening today.

I don’t just “believe propaganda” I believe Hezbollah when they say that they want every rock and every tree to say “here is a Jew hiding behind me come kill him”. I believe the Hezbollah founder when he said he wishes all Jews of the world would gather in Israel so he can kill them all. I believe it when every single Israeli action in Lebanon is directly in response to Hezbollah attack or imminent threat. (You don’t need to rely on Israel for tha information. When you’re talking about images:

Talk about satellite images: ever notice the ones leveled are the ones that allowed Hezbollah to operate in them? And there were Christian border villages just a few km away that remained in tact? It’s almost like they’re going after Hezbollah. You know, the assholes trying to kill them. Also none of what I spoke about I got from “Israeli propaganda”. It’s all from independent sources. But sure, call anything that challenges your BS “propaganda”. I’m sure that will hold up when the dust settles

So does Hezbollah and Hamas. The difference is, the IDF doesn’t *target* children, thy try and avoid it… but sometimes it happens.
